Day by Day

The Expedition Itinerary

Seven days of pure hiking. Crossing all of Wadi Rum from the northern plateau to the southern border.

The Descent D1

Descent from History

Exceptional Start: We start from outside the reserve at "Ras An-Naqab" or "Old Humayma" (1400m altitude).

The Landscape: Following the ancient caravan route, descending from the white limestone plateau towards the red sands. Experience a radical change in nature.

Overnight: Wild camp at the "Northern Entrance" near Jebel Marsa.

Red Sands D2

Northern Mazes & Um Ishrin

The Path: Venturing into pristine northern valleys, crossing "Makharas Canyon" alongside the towering "Seven Pillars of Wisdom."

The Challenge: After lunch, we cross open sandy plains to enter the "Um Ishrin" massif. The soft sands add an enjoyable physical challenge.

Overnight: In the heart of Um Ishrin valley, surrounded by towering mountain walls.

Total Silence D3

The Great Passage

The Path: Reaching "Barrah Canyon," the longest corridor in Wadi Rum featuring vertical rock walls and unique acoustic echoes.

The Experience: A meditative walk on flat ground, providing a total disconnect from the outside world.

Overnight: Camping at the eastern exit of the canyon, perfect for morning sunrise views.

Natural Arches D4

The Rock Bridges

Destination: Heading south towards Jebel "Burdah." We will hike around its immense base (with an optional climb available).

Afternoon: Walk to the "Um Fruth" area, featuring an easy climb up the bridge for iconic photographs.

Overnight: A secluded wild camp near Um Fruth, gathering around the campfire.

Geology Shift D5

The Deep South

Turning Point: Leaving tourist areas behind for the "Deep South." We cross Wadi Saabit and Wadi Nugra.

Geological Change: Watch the sands turn white and yellow, while the mountains shift to imposing dark granite. A true feeling of the "End of the World."

Overnight: Deep in Wadi Saabit, near the Saudi border.

The Summit D6

Roof of Jordan (1854m)

The Goal: Climbing Jebel "Um Ad Dami," Jordan's highest peak. A steep, non-technical ascent of approximately 2 hours.

The Reward: Sweeping views of Wadi Rum to the north and the Red Sea to the south from the summit.

Overnight: Final night under a clear sky, far from light pollution, reflecting on the great journey.

Departure D7

Farewell to the Desert

The Conclusion: We start with a final Bedouin breakfast in the desert heart, followed by a gentle short walk.

Return: Our 4x4 support vehicle brings us back to Rum Village (approx. 1-hour drive), ending our grand adventure.
