Dawn Patrol D1

Race Against Time & Burdah

An early start for a sharp ascent, followed by a fast-paced trek deep into the southern valleys.

Morning: The Scramble

  • Depart very early to the base of Jebel Burdah.
  • A sharp, rapid 3-hour ascent involving technical scrambling.
  • Stand atop one of the highest natural rock bridges in the world.

Midday: Tactical Lunch

  • Enjoy a practical, light Lunch Box at a strategic viewpoint to save daylight hours.

Afternoon: Valley of Bridges

  • A fast-paced 3-hour hike south through the "Valley of Bridges".
  • Arrive at our wild bivouac camp in total isolation.
  • Replenish energy with a hearty dinner cooked over the fire.
The Summit D2

Roof of Jordan & Return

Conquer the highest peak in Jordan before descending back through the contrasting White Desert.

Morning: The Ascent

  • 4x4 transfer to the base of Um Ad Dami near the border.
  • Climb to 1,854m. Less technical than Burdah but demands serious cardiovascular endurance.

Midday: The Grand Finale

  • Reach the summit for a majestic panoramic view of the Red Sea and Saudi border.
  • Celebrate with tea at the peak.

Afternoon: Return

  • Enjoy a farewell lunch upon descent in a quiet wadi.
  • Drive back through the "White Desert" and southern Badia, returning to the village.

Performance Fuel & Rest

Bedouin Breakfast

Complete fuel: fire-baked bread, eggs, cheese, jam, and sweet tea to start the intensive climbs.

Tactical Lunch

A Lunch Box or light, energy-dense meal in the field to maximize daylight hiking and scrambling hours.

Hearty Dinner & Bivouac

Zarb or pot-cooked stew around the fire to replenish energy. We sleep in the open air (Bivouac) on high-density foam mattresses with heavy blankets provided.

How hard is this challenge?

This is rated Intense (4/5). It requires excellent physical fitness, stamina, and comfort with heights. You will be scrambling rocks and conquering two major peaks in just 48 hours.

What is the role of the 4x4 support?

The 4x4 vehicle is strictly for logistical support. It transports your heavy luggage, water, and sets up the evening bivouac, allowing you to hike light with only a daypack.

What essential gear should I bring?

You must bring sturdy, broken-in hiking boots with excellent grip. A sleeping bag is highly recommended (especially in winter), along with sun protection, a headlamp, and a 20-30L daypack.
