From the technical ascent of Rakabat Canyon and the thrilling scramble up Jabal Burdah, to the breathtaking panoramic views from Jordan's highest summit, Um Ad Dami—every day brings a new conquest.
You will be accompanied by two experienced Bedouins: a dedicated hiking guide to lead the way safely, and a chef/driver handling the 4x4 How We Trek, ensuring fresh hot meals and a comfortable wild bivouac each night.
A full north-to-south crossing of Wadi Rum. Seven days of demanding trekking, majestic summits, and sleeping under the vast desert sky.
Reception & Start: Meeting at the Visitor Center. We start walking towards "Al-Makharas" and the Seven Pillars. Entering this area involves traversing the high Makharas Canyon, an adventurous path requiring scrambling over rocks.
Overnight: After meeting our support team at "Durra Um Ishrin", we bivouac in an exceptional spot facing the Nafishiya dunes.
Morning: Walk through the soft red dunes of Abu Khashaba and pass by the historic Lawrence’s House.
Afternoon: We move to "Abu Sisbana", a hidden gem of silent valleys away from tourists, using paths known only to locals.
Overnight: Special bivouac spot directly under or near the towering Burdah Rock Bridge.
The Climb: Ascending Jabal Burdah to reach the famous rock bridge (350m gain). This is an interactive experience involving technical sections, scrambling, and high exposure.
Eye of Burdah: Hike towards "Tur'at Al-Asalah" to see the amazing "Eye" rock formation.
Overnight: Camping in the enchanting Sunset Area near Um Fruth via private trails.
Exploration: Heading to "Um Mgour" and "Naghra Canyon", an area famous for geological wonders. We hike up to a high panorama point.
The Frontier: We conclude by trekking towards Wadi Saabit, an isolated southern border area offering a majestic sense of the vast, open desert.
The Challenge: Climbing the Highest Peak in Jordan (1854m). A steep path of endurance that rewards you with sweeping views of the Red Sea and Saudi Arabian mountains.
Reward: Fresh hot tea prepared by the guide directly on the peak. Return to camp in the calm wadis for a relaxing evening fire.
The Return: Trekking back north. Experience a radical change in nature, moving from Red Sandstone to "White Sands" and Dark Granite.
Desert Marathon: A long, meditative walk (up to 6 hours) in open terrain. Final night bivouac near Um Fruth or Abu Khashaba.
Morning: A gentle, easy 2-hour walk to breathe in the final morning desert air.
Conclusion: Transfer back to the Wadi Rum Visitor Center, ending the majestic 7-day journey with unforgettable memories.

Breakfast: Fire-baked bread, cheeses, eggs, jam, and tea.
Lunch: A hot meal (Galayah) cooked in the desert with fresh salads.
Dinner: Generous Bedouin stews or traditional Zarb under the stars.
We sleep in the open air ("Bivouac") far from tourist camps. We provide comfortable foam mattresses and heavy, warm blankets. The support vehicle carries all gear; you only carry your daypack while trekking.
This is a strenuous (5/5) trek requiring excellent physical fitness. It involves long hours of walking, steep elevation gains (Um Ad Dami), and technical scrambling over boulders (Makharas, Burdah) with high exposure. It is not suitable for beginners.
The 4x4 vehicle acts as our mobile camp. It transports your heavy luggage, water, and food. You will only carry a small daypack while hiking. The vehicle meets us at designated lunch spots and sets up the evening bivouac.
You must bring sturdy, broken-in hiking boots with good grip. A sleeping bag is highly recommended (especially in winter). Sun protection, a headlamp, and a 20-30L daypack are required.
